Verona is only 20 km away and can be easily reached from Soave and San Bonifacio by motorway (exit at Verona Sud) or by taking the train at the San Bonifacio railway station (stop at Verona Porta Nuova).

Vicenza is 20 km from San Bonifacio and is called ” Palladio’s city” from the name of the architect who designed most of his works here in the late Renaissance. The numerous architectural contributions of this exceptional artist include: The Basilica Palladiana and the Palazzo Chiericati, now housing an art gallery. Nearby, also Palladio, the Olympic Theatre and in the hills of the city also lies “Villa La Rotonda”.


Padua is a 40-minute drive from San Bonifacio and Soave. It is known for Giotto’s frescoes in the Scrovegni Chapel, from 1303-05, and for the great Basilica of Sant’Antonio, from the 13th century.
The basilica, characterized by Byzantine style domes and valuable works of art, houses the tomb of the saint to whom it is dedicated. In the historic center of the city are streets with arcades and elegant cafes frequented by students of the University of Padua, founded in 1222.
